Mrs. Pearl Manda Woolman 73 year old Craig County pioneer, died at 4:15 P.M. Friday at her home 404 N. Brown St. after a short illness. Cause of death Cerebral Accident.
She was the wife of Jess A. Woolman. Mrs. Woolman had resided in Craig county since 1895 and had lived most of that time in the Pheasant Hill community. She moved to Vinita a few years ago.
Survivors in addition to the husband include: 3 daughters Mrs. Leona Jenkins, Idaho, Mrs. Viola Schrader and Mrs. Ophelia Collins, Boulder, Colo. four sons Alvin Woolman, route 1 Welch, Melvin Woolman, route 1 Vinita, and Alfred Woolman route 1 Vinita and Everett Woolman of the home and brother Iva Cooley Morrisfield, Mo. two half brothers Melvin Williams and Fred Williams both of Ava, Mo and 38 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Alfred Aaron Woolman, 87, a native of Vinita and a retired employee of the Vinita Water Department, died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999 at his daughter's residence in Adair following an extended illness.
Mr. Woolman was born in Vinita on Nov. 20,1911, the son of Jess and Pearl (Cooley) Woolman. He received his formal education in rural Craig County school. He worked as a farmer and in the coal mines before moving to Colorado in 1930.
He and Julia Babe Anselme were united in marriage on Feb. 15,1938, in Marshall, Colorado, and made their home in Boulder, CO. They moved back to Vinita in 1965 and Mr. Woolman worked for the Vinita Water Department until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Vinita First Church of God. He loved to play the fiddle.
Mr. Woolman is survived by:" his wife of 61 years," Julia; ten children,Rev. Alfred A. Woolman, Jr. of Palisade, CO., Carol Jay of Elizabeth, CO, Donald Lee Woolman of Jay, OK, Barbara Jean Kay of Houston, TX, Alice Faye Lucas of Adair, OK, Phyllis Ann Wiedower of Tulsa, OK, Deborah Darlene Shelby of Afton, OK, Juanita Marie Sasser of Vinita, OK, Edward Douglas Woolman of Brighton, CO, and Melody Kay Benton of Vinita,OK; a brother Melvin Woolman, Of Vinita,Ok; a sister Ophelia Amanda Collins of Boulder, CO; 46 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alvin,Everett, and Roscoe Woolman; two sisters, Viola Schrader and Leona Jenkins two grandsons and a granddaughter.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary of the Vinita First Church of God with the Rev. Eddie Wrinkle officiating. Burial will be on the family plot of the Pheasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, OK..
OBITUARY: Jane Echols, 96 year old Vinita resident died at her home early Thursday, February 10, 2011.
She was born December 5, 1914 in Vinita to Monroe Amory Keys and Martha Ann Donnell Keys. Jane married Edward Ervin Echols on November 20, 1931 in Vinita, he preceded her in death on August 5, 1992. She was a member of the First Church of God. The family includes; her son Dean Echols and wife Lori of Vinita, three grandchildren Alexsis Dawn Echols, Edward Charles Echols and Brandon James Echols. Preceding her in death were here parents, husband, siblings, Clun Keys, Emma Keys, Amory Keys and Joe Keys. The Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of God in Vinita, with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating. WELLS -- Harley E. Wells, 80, of Selma died Thursday. He was a farmer. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Page Funeral Chapel. Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Harley E. Wells passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Fresno Community Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. He was born on January 22, 1931 in Vinita, Oklahoma. His family moved to Selma, California in 1941. Harley attended Selma High School, where he enjoyed participating in football, baseball and swimming.
He graduated in the class of 1949 and proudly served in the military as a Marine during the Korean Conflict. Harley worked for his brother, Allen, for 23 years at the Exon Station on McCall Ave. as a "Tire Man". In 1976, he and Allen purchased a farm where they grew grapes and peaches. They sold the farm in 2005 and Harley retired. He enjoyed his garden and walking 5 miles or more each day.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Wells, and his parents Clifford and Bessie Wells.
Harley is survived by his siblings, Mina Wright of Selma, Milton Wells and his wife Susan of Reedley, Allen Wells and his wife, Gloria of Selma, Sylvia Hunt of Coalinga and Sharon Gabel and her husband Melvin of Branson, Mo. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Page Funeral Chapel, Selma, California.
A Funeral Service will be held today, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Page Funeral Chapel; Internment will directly follow to the Floral Memorial Park Cemetery, Selma, California.

OBITUARY: Louie Lee Woolman Jr., age 69 of Vinita, died Friday, February 25, 2011. Louie was born in Vinita on October 12, 1941, the son of Louie and Elvie (Glover) Woolman. On January 20, 1959 he was united in marriage to Twila Mefford and together they raised 5 children. Louie worked as a truck driver for many years. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Survivors include his wife Twila Woolman, sons: Dean Woolman, Cecil Woolman and wife Cheryl, and Charlie Woolman all of Vinita, daughters: Kathy Stanaker and husband Brady of Bartlesville, and Teresa Woolman of Bushyhead, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, three sisters: Judy Wallace of Welch, Inez Wright of Ochelata, OK, and Barbara Cook of Vinita, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ina Lou Speck. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Pheasant Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Rolin Henry Woolman, 92, of Vinita, passed away early Thursday, November 19, 1998, at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. He was a retired farmer.
Rolin was born March 2, 1906, in Craig County. He attended Pheasant Hill School. He married Hazel Louise Bailey on December 28, 1927. She preceded him in death on September 26, 1986.
Rolin was an avid fisherman and hunter. He attended the First Church of God in Vinita for 58 years as a faithful follower of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clasper Woolman and Rose Mae Nazworthy Woolman, three sisters, Helen Woolman, Ethel Whiteaker, and Edna Hall, two brothers, Charley Ralph and Howard Leroy, and infant brother and sister, William Albert and Flossie Marie.
He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine and husband Arlan, and two sons, Wayne and wife Juanita, and Gary and wifeLinda, all of Vinita, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 23rd, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Church of God, 113 West Tahlequah, Vinita, with the Rev. Eddie Wrinkle officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 Sunday Afternoon in the Church Fellowship Center. Arrangements will be conducted by Burckhalter Funeral Service.
