He was born in Dallas, Texas to Carl and Lavern Burden on July 1, 1953.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carla Burden.

He is survived by his son Jason Burden, son Scott Burden and daughter Christie Goff.

Mark graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1975. He was employed as a real estate accountant and a teacher.

He was active in his community and his church. Mark once served as Mayor Pro Tem for the city of Hutchins, Texas and was a past member of the Hutchins School Board. He was a deacon of his church and had been a music director and Sunday school teacher.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 Pleasant Run Rd. Cedar Hill, Texas.

Interment follows the service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Seagoville, Texas, Bro. Donnie Page officiating.

The death of Mary Ellen Fletcher of Shongaloo, La., which occurred on Thursday, November 6 at her home in Shongaloo, following an illness of five days came as a distinct shock to her relatives and friends in the community, where she had lived her entire life time. Mrs. Fletcher was born on June 7, 1860 at Leton, La., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W Holt. Mrs. Fletcher was married to John Franklin Fletcher on September 4, 1881 To this union was born the following children: Maud, Ernest, Harvey, Ollie, Edna Fletcher of Shongaloo and Mrs. J.H. Morgan. Grandchildren are: Glen, Theo, and Mary Louise Morgan. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the First Methodist church in that community, living a consistent christian life. She was much beloved in the community and many deeds of love and charity gave testimony of her life as a faithful follower of Christ. She was laid to rest in the Dykesville cemetery, the Reverend Gear Head, pastor of Haynesville church reading the sacred and impressive ceremony." Image.

Motley, 71, died at his home "Woodberry," on the Rappahannock, near Sharps, Richmond County, VA, Friday morning Jan. 23, 1931, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Motley was for over a quarter of a century a member of the Board of Supervisors of this county, and for the greater part of the time was Chairman of the Board. For a great many years and up to the time of his death he served as a director of the Northern Neck State Bank. He was a successful farmer and oyster planter.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elmer Jones Motley, and three daughters and two sons by a former marriage, Misses Bessie and Eliza Motley of Washington, Miss Adelina Motley, of Laurel DE, Frank Longeville Motley, of St. Joseph MO. and John Motley of Sharps.
His first wife was Adlena L. Motley.

O.P. Silvey, at one time connected with the Everett police department, died at his home at Red Crossing, on the Snohomish interurban, at 7 o'clock this morning. Mr. Silvey was born in Ohio in 1844. He entered into the United States service January 11, 1862, as a musician in Company D, Forty-eighth Indiana volunteers, and was mustered out July 15, 1865, having served three years and six months. The deceased lived in Everett and Snohomish county for many years and was well known. The funeral service will be held at his late residence at Red Crossing at 2 o'clock p.m. tomorrow. Parties wishing to attend should take the 1 o'clock car from the interurban station. The funeral service will be in charge of John Buford Post No. 89.
