He bequeathed to his well beloved wife Catherine, during her natural life, all of his estate both real and personal and after her death all his land lying in Orange County, Virginia and in the state of Kentucky, he left to be equally divided between his five sons namely: Henry, Achilles, Andrew, Fielding and Philemon Samuel or the survivors of them and their assigns forever. He also left, after the death of his wife, to be equally divided between his seven children namely: Henry, Robert, Achilles, Andrew, Fielding, Philemon Samuel and Polly Jameson, the wife of Thomas R. Jameson, "all my negroes and all my personal property of every kind to them and their assigns forever. And last of all I appoint Henry Samuel and my friend Nathaniel Smith executors of this Will."

On 25 Feb 1805... On 22 July following the motion of Henry Samuel, one of the execdutors, was granted a certificate for obtaining probate."

David, son of James and Mary (Gaines) Jameson, was born Oct. 15, 1757, in Liberty Hall, Essex Co., Va. ... They resided in Port Royal, Caroline Co., Va. Mr. Jameson died in 1812 in Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Jameson received a fourth part of the estate of his uncle, Lieut.-Gov. David Jameson, of Yorktown, Va.  In his later life he removed to Kentucky.  His will was probated in 1812. The following autograph letters are still extant:."
Note that he signs the letters - Dd Jameson, Jr.
COMMENT: I, T.Mason, suggest he uses the Junior after his name to distinguish and yet identify with his uncle David who had no children yet bequeathed estate to his nephew.
