Harrison Daily Times, Harrison, Arkansas, Saturday, March 7, 1942
"Mrs. Oma N. Bohannon, 86, died at the home of her son, J.R. Hortin of near Fallsville, Newton County, Wednesday, March 4. She was born December 6, 1855 in Johnson County.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Julia Nelson (should be Melson) of near Oark in Johnson County, Mrs. Sarah Stepp of Jasper; three sons, Jack Bohannon of Gashen, Ark., William Horton of Willow Brook, California and J.R. Horton of Fallsville; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Mooney of Oklahoma, Mrs. Emiline Wilford of Tulsa, and Mrs. Nelia Boen of Knoxville, Ark.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by Revs. Turner Stewart and Sal Sutherland of Fallsville at the Buckhorn Cemetery where burial was made."
