RESEARCHER-DESCENDANTS: Information sent to T.Mason on 16 Dec 2003 by Sharon Darling. "Thomas retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad in Pittsburg, Kansas (card # B5919) then moved to Texas sometime in the late 1940s. Per his grandson Glenn Thompson, Thomas had a lot of cattle at one time and he was one of three men that owned a bank in Bronaugh, Missouri. (Hartman & Brewbaker) Thomas was to have gone to Texas for a short time then returned to Vernon Co, Missouri where he married Mary Ellen Webb, no record of marriage has been found in Vernon or Barton Co., MO or Fort Scott, KS.

*Dec 30, 1925 he sold land to F. L. Holland (Tenny's brother Forrest Lee Holland) S 17, T34, R32, in Bronaugh, Vernon Co., MO, Bk 174, p8 1903 he lived 4 miles east of Bronaugh., Mo.
Copy of a newspaper article reads: CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY, THOMAS B. HENSON, 407 North Highland (Pittsburg, KS), celebrated Sunday his 79th birthday. The guests from out-of-town included: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henderson of Charleston, S.C., Coxswain and Mrs. T.W.E. Hauser of Providence, R.I., Mr. and Mrs. Walker Ritch of K.C., MO, Mrs. Cleve Ready and daughter of Kansas City, MO and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henson and daughters of Tulsa.
The tax list for Vernon Co., MO are missing and church records are scarce, so none of these records were found.
OBITUARY: El Campo News Oct 11, 1956, page 1 T. B. Henson Rites Friday Funeral serviecs for 80-year-old Thomas Benjamin Henson, former El Campo area resident who expired in Liberty Wednesday, will be conducted from the Wheeler Chapel at 11:00 p. m. Friday. Rev. Paul Dudley will officiate with interment being made in the O D H S Garden of Memories. Mr. Henson, a retired farmer, was born April 1, 1876 (should read 1867 per all census). He was a member of the Oddfellows, Masons and Modern Woodmen. He moved to Liberty from El Campo four years ago. Survivors include two dughters Mrs. Ed Henderson of Liberty, Mrs. Lucille Conole of Branaugh, Missouri: one son, Charles W. of Chelsa, Okla. and one brother D. F. Henson of South Gate, Calif. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

OBITUARY: El Campo Citizen, Thursday, June 12, 1952 Mrs. Henson Rites Set For Thursday Morning Here. Funeral services for Mrs. Tennie Druscilla Henson, 73 were set for Thursday morning at 10:30 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Barton Williams officiating. Interment will be in the O. D. H. S. Garden of Memories with the Wheeler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Henson was born July 24, 1878 in Missouri. She has been living with her daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henderson of El Campo for the past few months. She passed away late Sunday night at the Nightingale hospital. Surviving besides her husband Thomas B: are a son Charles of Chelsea, Oklahoma: two daughters, Mrs. Henderson and Mrs Lucille Conole of Kansas City, Missouri: 4 grand children and 5 great grand children.
