RESEARCHER-DESCENDANTS: Information provided to T.Mason by Mary Alice Meyer on 1Dec2001. Jane was a granddaughter of my ancestors John Abernathy and Rhoda Davis who married in 1775 in Newberry Co. SC. (Jane's parents were Joseph Hunter and Elizabeth Abernathy.) The Hunters were Associate Reformed Presbyterian and the Abernathys were originally Quakers.
RESEARCHER-DESCENDANTS: On 19 Nov 2001 Patricia Lynn McClelland Williams [larrywms@swbell.net] wrote T.Mason stating, "I can help you with the continuation of Mary Borden (1831-1884) who married James Mabry Andrews (1827-1895). Mary's father and mother were Lucinda Phillips and Joel Borden. Joel's parents were Joseph Borden and Mary Echols. Joseph Borden's parents were John Borden and Ann Hawkins. This is the line through which I gained my membership in the DAR."
