PLATTE CITY, Mo. - Mary Frances (Swanstone) Pine, 68, of Platte City, Mo. succumbed to death March 19, 2004 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Mo, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, at Rollins Funeral Chapel in Platte City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Platte City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Mary was born Jan. 8, 1936 in Rocheport, Mo. She was of the Christian faith.
Mary pursued a nursing career and received her LPN license in April of 1990. She worked in nursing and also worked as a cook at various places until ill health forced her retirement in 1996. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Annabelle Swanstone; a son, Edward Lee Coleman; and a brother, Eugene "Swanie" Swanstone.
Mary is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Pine, of the home; two sons, John Coleman and his wife, Staci, of Fairfax, Mo. and Charlie Coleman and his wife, Tammy, of Sugar Lake, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Kerns of Gallatin, Mo.; four granddaughters, five grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and a great-grandson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her loving manner, and ever present smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
