Adolphus Clayton Morris

On Jan 20th 1887 He married Eliza Martin Motley. They were the parents of two sons: Byron Gilva Morris and Carl Motley Morris. Soon after their marriage they moved to Hodgeman Co Kansas where they resided for over 4 yrs. In Dec 1891 they moved to Coffey Co Kansas. Mrs Morris passed away Jan. 3, 1916. Mr Morris has since made his home with his son Carl. He was converted and joined the Union Baptist church at Rural Dale and remained a member of that church until it disbanded. After moving to this vicinity he was a regular member of the Methodist Church."

She was married to Adolphus Clayton Morris in MT. Pleasant, Lawrence Co Missouri on Jan. 20, 1887. They were the parents of two sons: Byron Gilva Morris and Carl Motley Morris who with her husband and only grandchild were present at her death. Soon after her marriage she and her husband moved to Hodgeman Co Kansas where they resided for over 4 yrs. In Dec. 1891 they moved to Coffey Co Kansas where they have since resided. Besides her immediate family she leaves one brother, 5 sisters and numerous other relatives. She was converted in Dec. 1892 and in Jan 1896 united with the Union Baptist church at Rural Dale in this county. The funeral was held at the Methodist church in Burlington Kansas, Wednesday in charge of Rev. C L Hovgard."
