He spent his lifetime in Beaver County, Murdocksville, PA. He leaves three sons, Smith Keifer, of Steubenville, Strouss Keifer of Florence, Pa., and Daniel Keifer of Pullman, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Johnson of McDonald, Pa., and Miss Zona Keifer at home, and 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Stewart funeral Home in Hookstown. He was buried in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Beaver Co., PA.

William F. Keifer, 88, retired Beaver County farmer, died today at 9:15 a.m. in his home here, following a brief illness. Mr. Keifer spent his lifetime in Beaver county. He leaves three sons, Smith Keifer, of Steubenville, Strouss Keifer of Florence, PA, and Daniel Keifer of Pullman, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Johnen of McDonald, PA, and Miss Zona Keifer at home, and 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She had been a lifelong resident of Frankfort Springs and had been a member of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church since early girlhood. On January 1, 1940, Mr. and Mrs. Keifer celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Besides her huband, she is survived by the following sons and daughters: Smith Keifer, Washington, D.C.; Strouss Keifer of Florence. Dan Keifer of Pullman, Wash., Miss Zona Keifer, at home, and Mrs. Louis Johnen of McDonald. One sister, Mrs. Martha Wilson of R. D. 1, McDonald, and a brother, J. F. Keifer of Gridley, Calif., also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in her late home in charge of the Rev. R. L. Biddle. Burial was in the Mill Creek Cemetery." Image.

He was a retired electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Keifer was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 33, and was a veteran of the Army in World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Baker Keifer; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary Jane) Payne of Middlesex, N.J.; two sisters, Miss Zona Keifer and Mrs. Louis (Mae) Johnen, both of McDonald, Pa.; two brothers, Strouss Keifer of Amsterdam and Dan Keifer of Spokane, Wash., and four grandchildren.
Mr. Keifer was born Jan 17, 1891, in Beaver County, Pa., a son of the late William and Maud Keifer. A sister, Lou, preceded him in death.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Smith Keifer; sister LaVerta Melvin; brothers Walter, William, Lawrence, Paul, Harry and Jack Baker.

Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClaves), 611 N. 4th Street, Steubenville on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, PA.
