Francis Marion Brown

1FindaGrave.com, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/42563357/francis-marion-brown. "Frank N. Brown, aged 80 years, for many years a resident of this city, died at Mansfield General Hospital thursday afternoon at 1:110 o'clock. He had undergone a minor operation in the morning at the hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Little Sandusky, May 4, 1869, the son of John and Elizabeth (Smith) Brown. He was united in marriage to Grace Culver, who died April 23, 1944. Surviving are one son, Hillis Brown, of Marion, and one daughter, Elizabeth, Wife of Donald Moore, of Mansfield with whom he had made his home the last five years.

Survivors also are one grandson, Terry Moore, of Mansfield, and five step-sons named Roscoe Stephey, of Kenton, Alton Stephey of Van Wert, Wayne and Glen Stephey of Toledo and Dow Stephey in California. One son, Grady Brown, four brothers, two sisters, and two half-brothers are deceased.

Mr. Brown was retired, having worked thirty-five years at the brick plant in this city. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church here and belonged to the Red Men Lodge.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Bringman and Co. Funeral Home. Rev. J.H. Weissrock will be in charge and burial will be made in the Old Mission Cemetery.

Calling hours will be observed at the funeral home after 3 o'clock this Friday afternoon until time of the service Saturday,." Image.


Francis Grace Culver

The services at the funeral home, including the Woman's Relief Corps ritual will be followed by services at 2:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in the Old Mission Cemetery with the degree of Pocahontas communal service.

Mrs. Brown was born at Upper Sandusky, Jan 4, 1875. Her marriage to Frank Brown took place in Upper Sandusky Feb. 1, 1911.

Surviving with Mr. Brown are eight children, Alton Stephey of Defiance, Don Stephey of Marion, Glenn and Wayne Stephey of Toledo, Roscoe Stephey of Honolulu, Hillis Brown of Marion and Mrs. Donald Brown of Mansfield.
Also surviving are three brothers, Cecil Culver of Willard, Freeman Culver of Cedar Grove, Bert Culver of Warren amd two sisters, Mrs. John Kinsel of Shiloh, and Mrs. Coral McMahn of Marion." Image.
