Graveside Service for Sam Mason Rhoden,79, LaRue are schedule for 11 a.m Thursday at LaRue Cemetary with the Rev. Claud Taylor officiating.
He died Tuesday morning after a sudden illness.
Arrangements are with Foster and Brown Funeral Home.
He was born September 10,1909 in Scurry and moved to Athens in 1952.
He was self-employed cabinet maker and a weather watcher for the Athens Review.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Rhoden, LeRue; son and daughter-in-law Bob and Val Rhoden, Ong, Neb.; three daughters and sons-in-law Bettie and Chuck Wyatt, Kalispell, MT, Dorothy and Johnny Kirkwood, Athens,and Patricia and Larry Baker, Athens; 10 grandchildren;six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step great-grandchildren; and three brothers Earl Rhoden and Grant Rhoden both of Rendon, and Earnest Rhoden, Burleson, and mother-in-law Carrie Siddell, Athens." Survivors: Daughter, Linda Garrison of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Bethany Garrison and Stephen Garrison, both of Fort Worth.
