Nathaniel Holland

1Holland Family Records Compiled by Pat & James H. Holland, Provided to T.Mason in 1999. "They came to Clay County, Missouri in the late 1834 or early 1835. Was in Platte County in 1850. They moved to Rock Port in Atchison County in the early 1850's. Nathaniel Holland died around 1900 while living with his daughter Priscilla in Montgomery County, Kansas. I visit this cemetery in August of 1999 and could not find his grave marker. Found his daughter Drucilla Copeland and her husband's marker in block #1, row 3, space 3. Will now look other places. Nathaniel's wife in buried in Ogle Cemetery near Union Chapel in DeKalb Co., MO."

2Raymond E. Dale, Nebraska, Otoe County Pioneers - A Biographical Dictionary (Lincoln, Nebraska 1964), Part V He-K. "Nathaniel aged 51 and Mary, his wife aged 45 were listed in Nebraska City Precinct in the 1865 census. Both born in Tennessee. 4 sons living at home all born in Missouri. Nathaniel was assessed for personal taxes in March 1866. Territorial Census, Mar. 1865, Nebraska City Pct. and Midwest Genealogical Record, XX, p 29; Tax records, Otoe Co., 1866.

CONFLICT:  The above age of 51 in 1865 census would mean that Nathaniel was born in 1814."

3Holland Family Records compiled by Dianne Holland Jones. Indicates birth in 1810.
