He married Eliza Ann Davidson 4 Nov 1860 in Fentress Co TN.

The following is an entry from the Ledger of John (Jack) Sevier. The transcription appeared in the Fall 1985 issue of the Upper Cumberland Genealogical Association journal.

"G. W . Sevier was killed by the yankees Dec. 7. 1863 on Sulphur Creek, Ky. age 31 years 8 months and three days The son of John and R. L. Sevier left a wife and little son age upwards of 14 months old."

The following is an entry from the Mrs. Eliza French Bible. She was Eliza Ann Davidson Sevier French. She was married to George Washington Sevier. The transcription appears in the book Cumberland County Kentucky Bible Records compiled by Randolph N Smith 1983.

"George W. Sevier and Elizan Davidson was married the 4 day of Nov. 1860 in Fentress County Tenn. by Calvin Smith."

"George W. Sevier was borned April the 4th. 1832.
E. A. Davidson was born Sept. the 29th. 1835 and we were married Nov. the 4th. 1860."

"George W. Sevier was killed by the Yankees on the 7 day of December, 1863 on Sulphur Creek, Ky. Age__years, 8 months & __days belong to Southering Confederacy, son of John and Rhoda L. Sevier."." Image.
