HONORS-BIRTH-DEATH-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN: "Banner" by Georgia Association of the Deaf; Vol 1, Mar-Apr, Issue 2; ; ; copy in poss of T.Mason (file - James Wade); EXTRACT: "One of finest leaders of organizations such as the Georgia Association of the Deaf, Division #28, National Fraternal Society of the Deaf, Georgia Telecommunications of the Deaf, Georgia Baptist Conference for the Deaf. Attended the Crusselle-Freeman Church of Deaf, was treasurer, deacon, on board. Responsible for TTY machines in Georgia. In his garage he repaired these machines for others.
Attended Georgia School for the Deaf from 1921, graduating in 1933. Two children, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two surviving brothers. Married 52 years.


Marie Justin Smith

Wade; NOTE: "the daughter of Mamie Alice Wade and Paul Clifford Smith, Marie Taylor (my grandmother) died from a stroke on 1-1-99. She had been suffering for several years after she had her first stroke in 1994. She was living in Memphis, TN with my aunt at the time of her death. Her body was brought back to Atlanta for buried at Westview Cemetery. I thought you may want to update your records."
