Rev. R. Z. Pennington Smith

OBITUARY:
Life Legacy
    Reverend R.Z. Pennington Smith, a 91 year old former resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma died on Friday, February 7, 2014 in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born September 26, 1922 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Thomas James Smith and Lillie Beatrice (Hagan) Smith. For 38 years R.Z. served as a Full Gospel Minister and Evangelist. Prior to his dedication to the ministry, he worked as a General Contractor.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Reverend Lonnie Allen Smith, Alvie Donald Smith, Reverend Junior Eugene Smith, and Reverend Lowell D. Smith; two daughters, Thelma Gail Pruitt and Sharon Kay Smith; and one son, Sammy Morris.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Alice Smith of the home in Owasso, Oklahoma; three daughters, Carmen Holland of Catoosa, Oklahoma; Alisa Robin (Kelly) West of Claremore, Oklahoma; and Glenda Sue (Kenneth) Deatherage of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Reverend Dr. Gary Lynn (JoAnn) Smith of Drumright, Oklahoma and Reverend Jimmy Ronald Smith of Claremore, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and one on the way!; 5 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Viewing will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Add'Vantage Funeral Service, 9761 East 31st Street Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Destiny Life Church. Officiating ministers will be Reverend Thomas Smith assisted by Reverend Raymond North.
    Pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith, Kent Deatherage, Matthew Smith, Tess Smith, Grant West, Elijah West, Ricky Allen Smith, Charles Glen Keith, and Dean Morris. Burial will be at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
